Ponte stradale, collegamento Gavirate - Besozzo (VA)
Construction of a road bridge connecting the towns of Gavirate and Besozzo in the province of Varese. The executive project length is 186,00 m with a slightly sloping section (about 3,5%) and the last flat section of 18,00 m light. This last section is statically different from the main deck for reasons related to the methane gas pipes and the lower net clearance required by the Contracting Authority is 5.00 m. The width of the deck is 12.50 m. The work is considered of primary importance, category I. The actual road gauge is 10.50 m. The static scheme adopted, in the final configuration, is that of a continuous beam made up of prefabricated caissons. The scheme in the construction phase is that of a beam on simple support with multiple supports. There are no temporary supports other than the piers as they are. The bridge rests on two abutments and 3 piers of circular section with a diameter of 2,50m. The four spans have symmetrical spans of 37,0-47,0-37,0 m to which add 18,0 initial meters with different scheme states.
